AERE and the Agricultural and Applied Economics Association (AAEA) collaborated on an engaging and insightful virtual workshop dedicated to bridging the gap between economic research and policy implementation. This two-day event was designed to provide environmental and resource economists with actionable insights and strategies for influencing policy decisions. The workshop was free to attend. Workshop attendees gained valuable insights from experienced panelists representing key federal agencies, providing an inside look into the latest research trends and policy needs. They acquired practical tools for engaging effectively in policy conversations, securing research funding, and advancing methodologies relevant to their fields. The workshop fostered opportunities to identify potential collaborations and partnerships with federal agencies, enhancing the relevance and impact of their research. Attendees also benefited from focused sessions that tackled critical issues such as resource allocation, methodological advancements, and inter-agency collaboration, with particular emphasis on pressing topics like water quality. View agenda>>
